Q
Features of flash memory?
A
Can be re-written
Usually fast to access
they don’t have any moving parts
Usually high capacity
Robust (not effected by vibrations so can be used in industrial machines)
Short life time- can only be written a certain number of times before data is lost. We may lose connection once the flash has degraded past a point. Re-writable devices include several blocks of flash memory so they last longer.
