A

-The pilot must maintain sight of the ground
-the a/c cannot be above cloud covering more than 3/8 of the ground within 5nm of the a/c

A

-Must be in controlled airspace(permission by ATC)
-during the day
-ceiling at least 600’
-ground vis > 1500m
-a/c stays clear of cloud
-a/c is in contact with radio tower
