Safety Exterior Inspection

First crew member to arrive:

• Chocks in (or parking brake on with sufficient pressure)
• Gear doors closed (do not pressurize GRN HYD system if gear doors are open)
• APU inlet and outlet area are clear

A/C Acceptance

Answer 2

• Verify A/C documents
• Verify MX logbook(s) are on board
• Verify A/C reg matches w/ instrument panel, dispatch release and MX logbook
• Verify technical state of the A/C (MEL, CDL, etc.)
• Review flight paperwork
• Examine NOTAMs
• Check gear pins, covers and cowl latch keys are onboard and stowed
• CA: brief lead FA

FA A-Brief

• Route of flight

V1 Briefing CA prior to V1

• It will be mit decision to reject
• I will bring the A/C to a stop, put the parking brake ON and call for “FA stations”
• Analyze the situation and call for ECAM actions and/or emergency evacuation checklist if required

Question 5

V1 Brief FO prior to V1

Answer 5

• I will call your reversers, auto or manual brakes
• Inform ATC we are stopping on the RWY and if required request emergency equipment
• Turn the dome light on, then perform ECAM actions and/or emergency evacuation checklist if required

Question 6

V1 brief PF after V1

Answer 6

• After V1 we will continue
• If we have an engine failure or fire:
  
  • The EO SID is …
  • We will plan to land at …
• If it is anything else we will treat it as an in-flight emergency
• If all is normal we will continue via the assigned SID
