Q

why did the death of Queen Isabella (of spain) encourage Henry to look towards burgundy

A

Ferdinand was more independent (only ruled over Aragon instead of Castille as well) which decreased his daughter’s prominence making her and Henry 8th’s marriage a weaker proposition - Spain’s alliance became weaker and less valuable for Henry
