Humanistic Approach:
A
Humanistics argue self-determination is a necessary part of human behaviour.
Rogers (1959) said as long as the individual is controlled by other people they cannot take responsibility for their actions so therefore cannot change it.
By taking this stance the humanistic approach is seen as positive as it is encouraging people to better themselves and reach self actualisation.
