A
drains via small outflow tract into the ethmoid sinus/ nasal cavity. Hour glass shaped with true ostium 3-4 mm narrowest portion.
frontal ostium superiorly to the ethmoid infundibulum or middle meatus inferiorly
the inferior compartment is narrow passageway formed by either the ethmoid infundibulum or the middle meatus – then communicates with the middle meatus via the hiatus semilunaris
