What are the minimum and maximum fuel temperatures?
0 celsius and 71 celsius
What are the indications if the fuel temperatures are out of limits?
Temperature digits change to amber or red
How is fuel quantity measured for display on the MFD’s and ED?
How does the magnetic dip stick work?
What is the maximum lateral fuel tank imbalance?
What will be the indication of a tank imbalance?
How is low pressure provided in the fuel system?
A primary ejector pump in the collector bay supplies fuel at a constant low-pressure to the engine.
How does fuel get from the main tank to the collector bay?
TWO WAYS:
Fuel scavenge ejector pumps pull fuel from the main tank low points, and pump it into the collector bay.
Several flapper check valves allowing only one-way flow into the collector bay, are located in the base of the partition between the main and collector bay. The flapper valves ensure a constant gravity-fed fuel flow into the collector bay.
What is the purpose of the dump valves?
How do the dump valves open?
Where are the dump valves?
They are located in each main tank and vent to the surge tank.
Dump valves automatically open and remain open to allow fuel tank venting whenever pressure refuelling is in progress.
When does the TANK FUEL LOW caution light illuminate?
What is the purpose of the NACA vents?
What is the consequence of taking off with the FUELING ON caution light?
Refuelling door under the Right Nacelle is open.
The FUELING ON caution light is the only caution light that is not accompanied by the illumination of the MASTER CAUTION light.
What is the total usable fuel quantity?
What happens when DC power fails or is turn off during refuelling?
- DC power must be available for refuelling.
