Micro: Diffuse (most common), lobular, insular, tubular, pseudofollicular patterns Large, round or polygonal cells with well defined borders, eosinophilic or vacuolated cytoplasm Round/ovoid nuclei with prominent nucleoli -IHC: inhibin and calretinin + Negative for germ cell tumour markers

Older men
Micro: Diffuse growth with scant fibrous or oedematous stroma. Polymorphous cell population: small Lo-like cells, intermediate cells and giant cells.
IHC: Negative for most germ cell-associated markers (OCT3/4, D240, PLAP, AFP, HCG & CD30) Positive for SALL4 & CD117
