Answer 1

• Most common of the sex cord-stromal tumours
• Benign behaviour
• Micro:
  Diffuse (most common), lobular, insular, tubular, pseudofollicular patterns
  Large, round or polygonal cells with well defined borders, eosinophilic or vacuolated cytoplasm
  Round/ovoid nuclei with prominent nucleoli
  -IHC: inhibin and calretinin +
  Negative for germ cell tumour markers

Features of Spermatogenic tumour

Answer 2

• Unrelated to germ cell neoplasia in situ
• Older men
• Micro:
  Diffuse growth with scant fibrous or oedematous stroma.
  Polymorphous cell population: small Lo-like cells, intermediate cells and giant cells.
• IHC: Negative for most germ cell-associated markers (OCT3/4, D240, PLAP, AFP, HCG & CD30)
  Positive for SALL4 & CD117
