Nivation
Glacial process which includes a combination of freeze thaw action solifluction transport by running water and chemical weathering
It is responsible for the INITIAL ENLARGEMENT of hillside HOLLOWS which result in the development of CORRIES
Plucking
When MELTWATER seeps into joints in the rocks of the valley/sides this freezes and becomes attached to the glacier. As the glacier ADVANCES It pulls/plucks pieces of Rock
Abrasion
As Glacier moves across the surface the debris embedded in its BASE/SIDES rubs against the surface rocks wearing them away.
