• Hoarseness or aphonia (loss of voice)

• Hx of radiation exposure to the neck

How would you treat a thyroid cancer?
• Surgery (total thyroidectomy or lobectomy)
• Post-operative radioactive iodine treatment
• Thyroid hormone suppression
Suppresses TSH so tumour growth is not stimulated
