POSSESSIVE PRONOUNS

What are the differences between possessive adjectives and possessive nouns?

A

Possessive Adjectives (Pronomes Adjetivos) - They function like an adjective: they must always be followed by a noun immediately afterward - This is my coat

They replace the noun to avoid repetition. You never put a noun after them, because the object has already been mentioned or is implied -This coat is mine
