A
Advantages:
1. Helps with confidence and sense of safety
2. Can give a kinaesthetic feel
3. Can be used to isolate skill action
E.g. holding a float to only practise leg kick in swimming
Disadvantages:
- Performer may become reliant
- Can lead to false kinaesthesis
- Could negatively affect motivation and cause negative transfer.
