A diagram used to show the connections in a network
Node
A circle on a network graph and used to represent a connected item. Nodes are used to represent many things.
Computer network
Two or more connected computers that share resources
Client
The client requests data from the server.
Server
The server responds to requests from the clients.
P2P
(Peer to Peer) A type of connected network where each member has equal responsibility as client and server.
LAN
Local Area Network; a network covering a small geographical area
PAN
Personal Area Network; a network consisting of few devices around few people
WAN
Wide Area Network; a network that covers a wide geographical area
