(1) In the circumstances described in subsection (2),
(a) a peace officer; or
(b) a firefighter who in the course of his or her duties is at the scene of a fire, a motor vehicle collision or another incident that may involve danger to the public;
may direct vehicles and other traffic and erect temporary traffic control devices to direct vehicles and other traffic
Operation While Impaired:
A person is guilty of an offence who drives a vehicle on a highway:
6.1 A person is guilty of an offence who
drives a vehicle on a highway
(a) while the vehicle, or a vehicle or item towed
by the vehicle, is equipped with anything
prohibited from being equipped on the vehicle, or
a vehicle or item towed by the vehicle, under this
regulation;
(b) while the vehicle, or a vehicle or item towed
by the vehicle, is missing any equipment required
under this regulation or the condition of any
component of the vehicle, or a vehicle or item
towed by the vehicle, is such that a rejection
criterion exists in respect of the component;
(c) while operating any equipment or lamp which
may be equipped on the vehicle, or a vehicle or
item towed by the vehicle, in circumstances in
which the operation of the equipment or lamp is
prohibited under this regulation;
(d) without ensuring that a lamp on the vehicle,
or a vehicle or item towed by the vehicle, that is
required to be lighted or operated under this
regulation is lighted or operated; or
(e) without ensuring that a towed vehicle or item
is connected to the towing vehicle as required
under section 5.4.
