If you lose all DC power, what happens to Speed Brakes if they were extended?
They would blow to trail
Reason: Safety valves spring open, releasing hydraulic pressure instantly, allowing aerodynamic forces to push speed brakes closed to maintain aerodynamic stability.
If you lose all DC power, what happens to Flaps if they were extended?
Remain locked in their current position.
No safety valve; hydraulic fluid remains trapped (hydraulic lock), holding flaps firmly in place. Minimal aerodynamic force prevents unintended flap movement.
If you had a Hydraulic issue and had flaps extended what could/would you do?
Electrically operated, so I can just move the flaps back to 0 and they would partially retract due to airload.
