NI/TX for Hyperphosphatemia
A
- administer phosphate binding meds to excrete via fecal route with meals (Aluminum hydroxide, Ca+ carbonate, Ca+ acetate, Ca+ chloride)
- Avoid phophate- containgin meds such as laxatives & enemas ( saline laxative)
