25
What happens once the IHADSS is bore sighted and the crew member changes the seat such that the ISDU changes MCD's?
That station LOS will go invalid for about one second while the ISDU is changing MCDs. The pilot should re-boresight IHADSS.
26
What does the HMS establish the crew member LOS in reference to?
The helicopter ADL to align the helicopter mounted weapons and sensors to controlled positions. Each crew member LOS is provided to MP for sensor pointing, symbol generation, ranging, and/or weapons aiming.
27
IHDU
Improved Helmet Display Unit Electro optical (monocular) device which displays video and symbology input from DDU on combiner lens in front of crew members right eye. Contains 0.75 inch CRT and magnifying optics which are designed to display an image so crew receives a 30 degree by 40 degree field of view (FOV)
