• Angel Gabriel comes to Mary and tells her she will conceive to a son, called Jesus - the son of God
• Jesus will be conceived through the power of the Holy Spirit - VIRGIN Mary
• God thinks it is important for humans to have free will so Mary gives consent saying,”let it be with me according to your word”

• Joseph planned to break-up with Mary as she was pregnant before they married
• angel visited Joseph in a dream telling him that it is right to marry Mary as she is conceiving by the Holy Spirit

• Christians believe that Jesus ‘fufilled’ the law, meaning that he generally followed the law but also developed it to make it better
• Old Testament mainly focused on what people should/shouldn’t do. Jesus taught however that it is more important to focus on people’s attitudes.
