LOCKOUT
Defined as manual control of engine RPM while bypassing DEC/EDECU functions.
WARNING:
- Going to LOCKOUT to obtain additional power does not remove Maximum Fuel Flow or NG limits. NR will decrease below normal operating range if Maximum Fuel Flow or NG limits are exceeded.
CAUTION:
- When engine is controlled with PCL lever in LOCKOUT, engine response is much faster and TGT limiting system is inoperative. Maintain NR within normal operating range.
If any of these indications occur during start sequence, abort the start
- No TGT increase (light off) within 45 Sec
- No engine oil pressure within 45 Sec
- No NP1 or NP2 within 45 Seconds (if rotor brake is off)
- ENG STARTER ON caution disappears before reaching 52% NG
- TGT reaches 851C before idle is attained (above 63% NG)
Conditions for NG display in Power Pod
- Either engine NG exceeds 100%
- Difference between NG1 and NG2 exceeds 5%
- Either engine is out
Conditions for TGT display in Power Pod
- Either engine exceeds continuous limit of 793C
- Difference between TGT1 and TGT2 exceeds 75C
- Either engine is out
APU Fuel Supply
APU is suction fed from the No. 1 (left) fuel tank.

MMU
Collective / Airspeed to Yaw
- Collective to Pitch (increased downwash over Stab - Pitch forward)
- Collective to Roll (Increased T/R thrust (translation) - left lateral input)
- Collective to Yaw (Increased requirement for anti-torque)
- Yaw to Pitch (Increased T/R thrust - Aft pitch as T/R thrust increased)
- Decreased tail rotor pitch as airspeed increases and cambered fin becomes more efficient (FCC2 through yaw trim actuator).
- Maximum mixing <40knots
- No mixing >100knots
What five lights activate back-up pump
- RSVR 1 LOW (quantity 60%)
- HYD PUMP 1 FAIL
- T/R SERVO 1 FAIL
- HYD PUMP 2 FAIL
- APU ACCUM LOW
Utility Module
Connects fluid from back-up pump to the following:
- Number 1 Module
- Number 2 Module
- APU Accumulator
- 2nd stage T/R Servo
Engine Limitations
SHUTDOWN CAUTION
If TGT rises above 500C after shutdown, place AIR SCE HT/START switch as required, turn ENGINE IGNITION switch OFF, and press starter to motor engine for 30 seconds or until TGT decreases below 500C.
Backup Pump Switch (WOW)
On the Ground:
OFF - APU ACCUM LOW will turn pump on
AUTO - 3 x 1s, a 2 and a P
ON - Pump on
In the Air:
OFF - As per AUTO
AUTO - 3 x 1s, a 2 and a P
ON - Pump on
