ADIRU air data and inertial info to the PFD and ND

NAV OFF light
1) ADIRU is off
2) in align mode
3) primary ADIRU failure
NAV OFF flashes amber
does not receive PP within 5 to 10 min,
PP entry fails the comparison test with either stored or calculated position
Mode Selector
OFF- turns ADIRU off
NAV- normal position after power up normal starts automatically Align mode takes 10min if PP initialization has been done
3 min fast realignment is done by cycling NAV to OFF to NAV within 5 seconds initialized with existing attitude and heading
VOR’s tuned
automatically by the VIA versatile integrated avionics unit
ID’s of VOR’s currently providing data are displayed on the FMS POS REF 2/3
ND automatically displays the ID/freq of the tuned VOR’s

Radio Altimeter system operation
provide terrain clearance data 2500 feet 2 radio altimeter receiver/transmitter and antennas
ISIS
provides altitude ,airspeed,attitude and baro settings on LCD
Pushing the ANNUN LT TEST button on the overhead panel displays
ALIGN, ATT FAIL messages, and all red diagonal crosses overlay the
displays.
The airplane battery will power the system if the electrical power is lost.
1. ALIGN Button
Push - Resets attitude display. Airplane should be in level flight.
2. BARO Set Knob
Sets barometric pressure display in inches of mercury and
hectopascals
3. ISIS Knob
Rotate - Adjusts ISIS LCD brightness. The LCD will illuminate
full bright automatically during electrical failure.

FMS consists of FMF1 and 2 provided by VIA’s and 2 MCDU’s
pilot uses FCP to select flight modes and the multifunction control display unit to enter flight plans and other flight data flight progress monitored through MCDU
After data entry the FMF’s generate a flight profile from origin to destination airport

Light Sensor
Senses ambient light and automatically adjust reference brightness
level.
1. Line Select Key
Push - Provides for the entry, selection, or deletion of information on an
adjacent line.
Entry - Moves information to a selected line from scratchpad.
Selection - Selects a page, procedure, or performance mode as
required. Moves information to scratchpad from selected line when the
scratchpad is blank.
Deletes information from the selected line when DELETE is displayed
in the scratchpad.
2. BRT Knob
Rotate - Manually adjusts brightness of CRT display.
3. Alpha/Numeric Keys
Push - Enters selected character into the scratchpad.
4. Miscellaneous Keys
CLR Key - Push to clear data in the scratchpad.
“/” Key - Used as a data separator.
SP Key - Not used.
5. Message Light
MSG - Illuminates when the FMS generates a message displayed in
the scratchpad.
OFST - Illuminates when the airplane is flying a parallel offset of the
active flight plan.
DSPY - Illuminates when the current display is not related to the active
flight plan leg or current performance mode.
