Skin has 3 layers:
Epidermis, Dermis, Subcutaneous layer
Outermost layer, composed of 4 layers of cells. Outer 2 dying and decaying skins pigmentation MELANIN located on deepest layer of epidermis.
Epidermis
Second layer of skin, much thicker than epidermis. Hair follicles, sweat glands, sensory nerves.
Dermis
Fatty tissue varies in thisckness (eyelids, abdomen)
Subcutaneous layer
Four accessory structures of the skin: HONS
Hair, Oil glands, Nails, Sweat
