What are the conditions for an interface to become an aggregate interface?

Answer 1

• It is a physical interface, not VLAN or subinterface
• It’s not already part of an aggregate or redundant group
• It is in the same Vdom
• It does not have an IP and is not configured for DHCP of PPPoE
• It is not referenced in a security policy, VIP, IP Pool or multicast policy
• It is not a heartbeat interface
• It is not one of the FG-5000 series backplane interfaces

Can an interface that is port of an aggregate interface be seen or the interface page?

No, but it can be seen in the CLI. But configuration do not take affect

What is the difference between VLANs in transparant mode or NAT mode?

Answer 3

In transparant mode, the FortiGate behaves like a layer-2 bridge.

What are the limitations for transparant mode for VLANs?

You cannot use SSL VPN, PPTP/L2TP VPN, DHCP server os perform NAT
