Shoring should extend at least:
-a distance equal to the thickness of material used beyond base of cargo. Weight of material used should be included in cargo weight calculations.
Shoring calculations:
(GW of cargo + GW of shoring) / (sq-in of cargo area + thickness of shoring)
Typically 1-2” thick, 10-12” wide, less than 12 feet long
Cargo restraint:
-Cargo classification:
Cargo restraint:
-Ideal angle for securing cargo:
-30 degree angle
Cargo restraint:
-Restraint Criteria:
Shoring:
-Using lumber, planking, or similar material to spread the weight of concentrated loads.
