If your application is unsuccessful, what do you plan to do?
-firstly seek feedback so I know where I could improve
-then see about reapplying when eligible
-in the meantime I would make myself a stronger candidate by developing skills such as leadership and fitness
What are some of your weaknesses as an aspiring officer?
-can be too hesitant and overly critical of myself as I try to do everything to a high standard
-in the past I’ve ended up doing everything myself
-since then I’ve learned effective leadership involves trusting and using the strengths of the team
Which RAF branches interest you and why?
-applying for WSO so the flying branch, yet intelligence branch is interesting
-im aware air operations rely on multiple branches
-intelligence can heavily influence how WSO does their job
If you could change one thing about your personality, what would it be?
-Im overly critical of myself
-less efficient
-yes pushes me to hold high standards, it stops me recognising progress and only my mistakes
-affected Body dysmorphia, I’ve learned staying consistent at the gym helps me view myself more positively
How does your family feel about your idea to become an RAF officer?
-supportive of my idea to join
-provided their support giving me stability
-aware of the commitment (deployments)
What challanges have you faced and how did you overcome them?
-A level geography hard, but got a B due to extensive revision
-planning helped me focus on my targets for each day- improved grade
-Struggled with time management, job+exams+coursework+gym. -overcame by prioritising tasks + setting deadlines
-taught me importance of organisation

-Cadets leadership badge
(Formal assessment, I briefed room on task and how to complete it, then walked round making sure everyone was involved ect)

-LEADERSHIP (cadets and student A)

Why not be a pilot or another branch?
-wanted to be pilot but after cbat took a closer look at WSO (both roles are equally as important)
-found the job matched my strengths(analytical thinking, situational awareness, multitasking)
-chose raf due to exposure from air shows then found possible career
Why do you want to join the RAF?
-thrive off structure, discipline and being held to a high standard, qualities RAF promote
-strongly agree with core values of organisation
Why do you want to be a WSO specifically?
-explain what job is (6 roles)
-my traits fit job well (analytical thinking, situational awareness, multitasking)
-job allows me to collectively work for the greater good as part of a team (unlike coop isolated)
