I failed to describe a skin lesion to a dermatologist and since then I’m learning terminologies

A consultant dermatologist and contributing to research and teaching residents in the future

I stay calm under pressure by prioritizing tasks, seeking guidance if needed, and breaking problems into manageable steps
Tell me about a conflict with a colleague or superior and how you resolved it.
A colleague and I had overlapping responsibilities, which sometimes caused uneven workload. I approached her respectfully, and we agreed on dividing patients equally. This improved efficiency and team morale.
Describe a time you made a mistake in patient care.
I accidentally administered extra insulin to a patient. I promptly informed the on-call resident, helped manage the hypoglycemia, and explained the situation to the patient honestly. I also reviewed protocols to prevent recurrence

Make a list, handle time-critical stuff first
How do you handle feedback or criticism?
We never stop learning so if I make a mistake, I give it priority so that it doesn’t happen next time. I welcome constructive feedback, reflect on it, and implement changes immediately to improve my practice and prevent repeat errors.
What would you do if you disagreed with your attending?
I would first make sure I fully understand the attending’s reasoning. If I still have a concern, I would respectfully ask clarifying questions or present evidence-based alternatives. Ultimately, I follow the attending’s decision while learning from their perspective, because patient safety is the priority.
Tell me something not on your CV?
Something not on my CV is that I enjoy mentoring junior students and peers. I’ve informally helped classmates understand complex dermatology cases, which taught me patience, communication skills, and how to explain difficult concepts clearly.
How do you work in a team?
For example, during ward rounds, I coordinate tasks efficiently and check in with colleagues if anyone is overloaded. I believe effective teamwork improves patient outcomes and reduces errors.
How do you handle burnout?
During intense periods, I prioritize tasks, take short breaks when possible, and discuss challenges with mentors or colleagues. I also engage in hobbies outside medicine to recharge mentally
