2. Allows you to explore a group dynamic

disadvanatges:
1. often one person dominates group interviews- response accounts for loudspeakers- not everyone

e.g. willis 12 lads study

2. No set questions-> i-ee is free to discuss different ideas, more flexible

1. Practical issues- time and sample size limits what can be studied
2. Small numbers- less rep, harder to make valid generalisations
3. Reliability- each is unique, hard to comapre with others, cannot be replicated

2. Results can be easily quantified-> can easily compare people’s studies
