What can you tell me about pilot responsibilities?
- Ultimately it is about the safe carriage of passengers, freight and crew to the destination
- But it is not just about being a professional pilot, it is also about being an Air New Zealander and also a New Zealander - representing and contributing to both the company and NZ
- Lots of parallels with the current employer - serviceperson/officer first, pilot second (23 years of experience doing so thats why I have done ground roles and sought Command/Management roles to contribute to the bigger picture and not just about being a pilot)
How would you behave as the pilot of a plane during an emergency?
- That is what training and experience is about
- Know the checklists and limitations, boldface,

- I have many colleagues at Air NZ and so I am aware of the generic remuneration rates
- I am comfortable with the remuneration opportunities and think they are fair
- Whilst remuneration is important for living my desire to work for Air NZ is based on professional opportunities

- The Capt. continues an approach beyond minimum’s, he tell’s you that he’s shot this approach a 1,000 times, know’s the area, and everything’s fine. What will you do?

- The aircraft is loaded way beyond gross wt., the Capt. tell’s you that he does this all the time, and the aircraft will fly. What do you do?

- Preparation for any trip happens days before, e.g. route guide, could read weather NOTAMS day before,
- we would crew brief day before
- Adjust sleep cycle leading up to it
- Eat well and hydrate, nutrition
