• Difficult because the animal wouldn’t have been functioning 100% and would’ve have metabolic issues.
• Animal probably wouldn’t have shown any signs of ill health though so difficult for farmer to spot.
• Probably inform the farmer so he knows there might be a problem and if its a recurring issue within the herd with a high rate of incidence you could maybe report for welfare problems.
• Farmer is loosing money on condemned carcasses s probably wants to fix it.
