Grievous Bodily Harm
If a vital organ is penetrated and is defined as “really serious hurt”
Injures
“Actual bodily harm” eg . stab with a knife but just damages tissue.
Maims
“Causes serious bodily injury” eg. loss of essential part such as arm or eye. Must be a permanent weakness.
Wounds
The skin has been broken or there is an external injury caused by, for example a kick
