Trolley with a card that has a gap in the middle( this will interrupt the signal on the light gate twice)
Connect the trolly to a piece of string that goes over a pulley and is connected to a hook

The weight on the hook provides the accelerating force
Mark a starting line where the trolly starts at
Release the trolly from the starting line
Record the acceleration recorded by the light gate
Repeat to get an average acceleration

Add masses to the trolly
Record the average acceleration for each mass

Keep the total mass of the system the same
Change the mass on the hook
Start with all the masses on the trolly and transfer them onto the hook one by one to increase the accelerating force
Record rhe average acceleration for each force
