Pharmacologic Action:
blocks cholinergic receptors in smooth muscle to reduce bronchoconstriction-when used with SABA can have an increased effect because they work via different mechanisms; also known as long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA)

dry mouth, increased intraocular pressure, urinary retention

monitor UOP
Client Education:
report urinary changes; seek regular eye examinations
