6.2 - company to ensure that each ship is :
A. Manned with qualified, certificated and medically fit seafarers in accordance with international and national legislation
B. Appropriately manned in order to encompass all aspects of maintaining safe operation onboard.
Elements of ISM code
OBJECTIVE EVIDENCE
Qualitative or quantitative information, records or statement of facts pertaining of safety or existence and implementation of a safety management system element, which is based on observation, measurement or test and which can be verified.
OBSERVATION
Statement of fact recorded during a safety management audit which is substantiated by objective evidence.
Non conformity
Observed situation where objective evidence indicates lack of fulfilment of a specified requirement of this code
Major nonconformity
An identifiable deviation which poses a serious threat to the safety of personal or the ship or which poses a serious risk to the environment and include a lack of systematic and effective implementation of a requirement of this code.
