because its easier to create working female sex organs the decision of which to raise the child is often driven by this rather than whats best for the child therefore making the surgery unethical.

• some would say only adults should be allowed the reassignment since children cannot give consent.
• on the other hand reassignment as a child may be easier and safter
• some evn argue that the procedure should not be allowed at all because the person is not actually ill , however it is now accepted by most that a person can feel very mentally uncomfortable in the body to an extent of a mental disorder
