Essentially the basic human rights embedded in Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Based off of John Locke, the idea that every human being is entitled to a basic set of rights

(Some examples include the right to vote, the right to freedom of speech, freedom of expression, freedom of religion, right to life, liberty, and security of the person, right not to be subject to cruel and unusual punishment)
