1a) Volition (one’s motivation for occupation, the process which people are motivated toward and choose what they do)
- influenced by three components: Personal Causation (one’s sense of competence and effectiveness), Values (what one finds good, right, important and meaningful to do), Interests (what one finds enjoyable and satisfying to do)
1b) Habituation (the process by which occupational behaviour is organized into patterns of behaviour that become habits, routines and roles that make up much of our day)
1c) Performance Capacity (the physical and mental abilities a person has and their experiences while undertaking an activity or occupation)
