A
  • AI disorder
  • Most prevalent AID in UK and US
  • Pathogenetic antibodies to TSH receptor on thyroid follicular cells (long acting thyroid stimulators)
  • Interplay between genetic and environmental factors
  • Environmental factors include: gender, stress, infection, pregnancy or drugs
