Explain Monochromacity

A

meaning single wavelength because

Selective absorption → different eye tissues absorb different wavelengths (e.g., hemoglobin absorbs green argon better than IR).

Predictable tissue effect → allows precise cutting, coagulation, or reshaping.

Minimal collateral damage → because surrounding tissues that don’t absorb that wavelength remain unaffected.
