• ‘gender neutral’ pitch range and this range is between 155 – 185 Hz.
• Care must be taken to find and establish a habitual pitch that is gender neutral and not so high that voice production will not cause muscle tense or strain.
• artificially high speaking pitch, one that is too high, will often reveal the original gender.
