   roof, and so on).
2. Make these natural components the main headings on the quantity take-off sheets. Eg.
   Foundations, Floors, Walls, etc…
3. Start with the component that is required first and list all the items required. These
   items become the subheadings.
4. Calculate the amount of material required for each item.
