A

Canadian sociologist:
- front stage: the social performance is designed to define the situation for those observing it- a public performance
Backstage: people express themselves differently in ways that are surprised on the front stage( acting more relaxed around friends or family)

What are mead stages of self

A

1: play stage : children act out a single role, they understand specific to others, general and organized sense of self lacking
2: game stage: thinking about other peoples POVs. By taking other peoples perspective you find a fuller sense of who you are
3: MEAD the I and ME: “I” is the unconscious part of you, gives self uniqueness.”ME” is the self controlling part of you
