22
Q

What are the CEO stable engine parameters after start?

A

1.01EPR
21.4 N1
57% N2
414 EGT
350 FF

23
Q

What should you do if electrical power supply is interrupted (blank ECAM DU’s)?

A

Abort Engine start and perform 30 second dry crank.

24
Q

When does EGT & N2 increase during engine start on the NEO’s?

A

after 15 seconds of fuel flow.

25
When does the ignitor and start valve close on the NEO's?
55% and 63%
26
When does the ignitor and start valve close on the CEO's?
43% and slightly after 43%.
27
What are the idle parameters after start of the NEO engines?
19% N1 68% N2 520 EGT 290 FF
28
What does FADEC directly control during engine start?
The start valve, igniters, and fuel HP valves.
29
What does FADEC protect against during start on CEO aircraft?
Hot start, hung start, stall, failed lighter, low air pressure, thrust lever not at idle. Displays ECAM fault, closes start valve, igniter and HP valve, initiates a 30 second dry crank.
30
On CEO’s, when will FADEC oversee a dry crank prior to starting?
If residual EGT is over 250C, there is no message provided for this.
31
When might a manual start be performed?
After aborting a start due to EGT overlimit, engine stall, low air pressure or hung start, no N1 rotation. Or if a start abort is expected due to 10kt tailwind, hot conditions or high altitude.
32
What is the stable approach tolerance by 1000ft HAAL?
Aircraft configured with flap and gear. Established on correct vertical and lateral guidance. Sink rate not greater than 1000ft/min. Thrust setting appropriate and all briefings are completed.
33
What is the stable approach criteria by 500ft HAAL?
In addition to the 1000ft requirements, speed must be within +10, -5. Landing checklist completed.
34
What is the max altitude for APU assisted engine start?
20,000ft
35
What is the ALT limit for single and dual pack operation off APU bleed?
22,500ft Single pack, 15,000ft Dual Pack
36
What are the oil quantity limits for the CEO?
Min quantity 11qt + 0.3qt/hr
37
What are the oil temp considerations for the CEO?
-40C start -10C thrust greater than idle 50C Before Takeoff 165 Transient 155 Continuous
38
What is the APU EGT start and max continuous limit?
1090 C (Below 35,000ft) 1120 C (Above 35,000ft) 675 C EGT continuous running
39
What is the keep out zone for the CEO's?
To prevent fan flutter, the keep out zone is between 60% N1 and 74% N1.
40
For the CEO, when must the starter not run - relating to N2?
The starter must not run on the ground when N2 exceeds 10% or 18% in the air.
41
What is the maximum cycle time for a manual start on the CEO?
2 minutes during a manual start.
42
What is the max fuel imbalance allowed in the inner wing tanks, the outer wing tanks at takeoff and at landing?
At takeoff Inner wing tanks (500kg) assuming the heavier tank is full Outer wing tank (370kg), assuming inner wing tanks are balanced. Inflight and at landing (1500kg) for the inner wing tanks, assuming the heavier tank is full. (690kg) for the outer wing tanks
43
What are the AP disconnect limitations for T/O ILS/GLS APP F-GS FINAL APP/FPA Man Go-Around All Others
T/O - 5 sec & 100ft ILS/GLS - 160ft CAT 1 APP F-GS - 200ft FINAL APP/FPA - 250ft Man Go Around - 100ft All Others - 500ft
44
What is the altitude limit for open descent?
