How is this test carried out? (4)
A
- Surface is cleaned. Surface must be smooth.
- Liquid dye or fluorescent penetrant is applied by spraying and allowed to soak into any surface flaws.
- Excess dye is cleaned off.
- Under UV light the flaw fluoresces along the crack and is easily seen.
