What is deductive reasoning?
A
Whole-to-part reasoning that determines the validity of a formal argument.
The conclusion of such an argument must, necessarily, be true if the premises used to support it are true
Starts from general observations to a specific conclusion (All men are mortal; Socrates is a man; Therefore, Socrates is mortal)
