This was the confession of Malcolm to McDuff. in this, he withdraws all of the statements about himself that he used to test. He wanted to make sure that McDuff truly was on his side and I really did want to overthrow McBeth and reassure peace to Scotland. This is when he makes all of his claims of traits unfit for a king to have. This is evident in lines 11 through 12 when he says "the taints...nature", meaning that everything you had to hold McDuff is untrue and not a representation of himself. This is also him rising to the throne and believing that although he might not be as good as his father, he will do his best for Scotland. This is evident in lines 23 through 24. He also admits to having planned an attack on McBeth prior to McDuffs arrival when he says "old siward, with ten thousand warlike men,..." he is explaining that the troops are ready and willing.
