Answer 1

Manoeuvre as required to avoid the windshear.

Windshear Escape

Answer 2

• Disengage AP
• Press TO/GA switch
• Aggressively apply maximum thrust
• Disconnect A/T
• Simultaneous wings lvl and rotate toward 15 degrees pitch
• Retract speedbrakes
• Follow FD TO/GA guidance (if avail.)

GPWS Caution

Answer 3

Correct the flight path, airplane configuration, or airspeed.

Question 4

GPWS Warning (”PULL UP””)

Answer 4

• Disengage AP
• Disconnect AT
• Aggressively apply max thrust
• Simultaneously wings lvl and rotate to initial pitch of 20 degrees
• Retract speedbrakes
• If terrain continues to be a threat, pitch up to PLI, or stick shaker/buffet

Upset Recovery - Nose High

Answer 5

• RCB, Disengage, Disconnect
• Nose down elevator (thrust/roll)
• Nose down trim
• Approaching the horizon roll wings level.
• check airspeed, adjust thrust
• establish pitch attitude
• happy place?

Upset Recovery - Nose Low

Answer 6

• RCB, Disengage, Disconnect
• Recover from stall if needed
• Roll on a point, wings level
• Nose up elevator
• Trim as needed
• Adjust thrust and drag as needed
• happy place?

Question 7

Stall Recovery

Answer 7

• RCB
• hold firmly, disconnect / disengage
• nose down elevator until buffet/shaker stops (trim if needed)
• roll around point to wings level
• advance thrust as needed
• retract speedbrakes
• check airspeed, adjust thrust, establish pitch attitude (happy place)

Passenger Signs - ON
Yaw Damper - ON
Autothrottle - Disengage
Autopilot - CWS
Engine Start Switches - FLT
