1. Disconnect autopilot and auto throttle.
2. Reduce AOA
3. Roll Wings Level
4. Apply Thrust as Required. Firewall Thrust if needed. (MD-11 has FADEC Bar)
5. Call “Heading Hold”
6. Speed Brakes Retracted
7. Maintain Configuration until appropriate airspeed
8. Re-engage Autopilot and Autothrottles

“Go Around Windshear Ahead” (Red Warning)

Perform immediate go-around
Go Around Max Thrust / Thrust Set
Flaps 28 (22) / Positive Rate / Gear Up / Check Missed Approach Altitude

Answer 3

“Monitor Radar Display” (Yellow Caution)

1. Consider location of windshear
2. Either continue the approach or go around.

Predictive Windshear Warning or Caution on Takeoff

“Windshear Ahead Windshear Ahead” (Red Warning) / “Monitor Radar Display” (Yellow Caution)

Reject Takeoff
Do not start Takeoff roll

2. Pitch up, follow flight directors
3. Autopilot ON - Above 100ft

3. Limit Climb/Descent to 1,000fpm
4. After LOC Break - Autopilot ON
