Engine Fire or Failure Inflight
Engine Fire on Ground
Affected Engine
1. Condition Lever - FUEL CUTOFF
2. Firewall Fuel Valve - CLOSED
[EXTINGUISHER PUSH] & [CLOSED] - ILLUMINATED
3. Starter Switch - STARTER ONLY
4. Fire Extinguisher (if warning persists) - ACTUATE
DISCHARGED - ILLUMINATED
Emergency Engine Shutdown on the Ground
Engine Failure During Takeoff (At or Below V1) - Aborted Takeoff
WARNING: Do not use reverse thrust with one engine inoperative. Care must be exercised when using single-engine ground fine on surfaces with reduced traction.
Engine Failure During Takeoff (At or Above V1) - Takeoff Continued
WARNING: Do not retard the failed engine power lever until the autofeather system has completely stopped propeller rotation. To do so with deactivate the autofeather circuit and prevent automatic feathering
Engine Failure in Flight Below Minimum Control Speed (Vmca)
2. Nose - LOWER TO ACCELERATE ABOVE Vmca
Glide (Both Engines Inoperative)
Oil Pressure Low (L or R) Annunciator
If confirmed:
Duel Generator Failure (L DC GEN and R DC GEN) Annunciator
If either generator will reset:
If neither generator will rest:
Fuel Pressure Low Annunciator
Illumination indicates fuel pressure is below approx 10 PSI
Unscheduled Electric Pitch Trim Activation
NOTE: Autopilot will disengage and Rudder boost will be interrupted when the disconnect switch is depressed
Unscheduled Rudder Boost Activation
Rudder boost operation without large variation of power between the engines indicated a failure of the system
if condition persists:
3. YD/AP DISC (on flight guidance panel) - PULL DOWN
Spins
Electrical Smoke or Fire
WARNING: Dissipation of the smoke is not sufficient evidence that a fire has been extinguished. If it cannot be visually confirmed that no fire exists, land at the nearest suitable airport
Environmental System Smoke or Fumes
Airstair/Cargo Door Unlocked Annunciator
Indicated Airstair or cargo door is unlocked or open
WARNING: Do not attempt to check the security of the airstair door or cargo door in flight. Remain as far from the door as possible with seat belts securely fastened
If the [DOOR UNLOCKED] Illuminates, or if an unlatched Airstair Door/Cargo Door is suspected
Emergency Decent
Use of Oxygen
Crew:
Pressurization Loss [CABIN ALT HI] Annunciator
Annunciator indicated the cabin pressure altitude exceeds 12,000 ft
High Differential Pressure [CABIN DIFF HI] Annunciator
Annunciator Illumination indicates cabin differential pressure exceeds 6.9 PSI
Auto-Deployment Oxygen System Failure
[CABIN ALT HI] Annunciator illuminated and [PASS OXYGEN ON] Annunciator extinguished
Bleed Air Faulure [L or R BLEED FAIL] Annunciator
Illumination indicates melted or failed plastic bleed air failure warning line. Monitor during engine start. Either engine extinguishes both annunciators upon start
Autopilot Failures
Autopilot Mistrim [E] or [A]
Illumination of a red-boxed E (elevator) or A (Aileron) annunciator on the PFD’s indicates the autopilot is flight the airplane in a mistrimmed condition.
WARNING: Intentional or Automatic disengagement of the autopilot without restraining the control wheel during a mistrim condition will produce a significant airplane response in the direction of the mistrim.
If a mistrim indication continues for more than a few seconds:
Autopilot Trim Fail [TRIM]
Illumination of a red [TRIM] annunciator on the PFD’s Indicated that the autopilot pitch trim system has failed. The autopilot will not automatically disengage, but it may not function properly.
1. Flight Controls - HOLD FIRMLY
2. AP - DISENGAGE
3. Return airplane if necessary
4. AP - REENGAGE (if desired)
(AP will reengage & TRIM annunciator will extinguish if fault is cleared)
Autopilot Automatic Disengagement
If an Automatic Disengagement occurs:
