QRH Chapter 8
Single Engine flight recommended rudder and power settings
80% N1 and 5 trim units in level flight
70% N1 and ~4 trim units for approach
V1 cut profile
Near full rudder at liftoff, 12-13 degrees target pitch
400’ - RAT - Roll mode, A/T off, Talk to tower
1000’ - BAT5 - Bug F1 speed, APU, Trim 5 units into good engine
At F1 speed - LVL CH, select/set CONT thrust, After Takeoff Checklist then NNC
At leveloff - large power reduction so don’t forget rudder (target 80% N1), A/P on, Trim yoke for level, may need nose up STAB trim with the power reduction.
Single Engine Missed Approach Profile
Approach is done with Flaps 15 so the G/A flaps will be commanded to Flaps 1.
400’ - Roll mode and verify missed approach altitude
1000’ - Bug Flaps 1 speed
At F1 speed, LVL CH, select/set CONT thrust
Takeoff Configuration
Ensure correct airplane TAKEOFF configuration
