Approach to Stall or Stall Recovery
Initiate Recovery
- smoothly nose down elevator to reduce AoA until buffet or stick shaker stops
Continue Recovery
- Roll shortest direction to wings level
- Advance thrust as needed
- Retract Speedbrakes
- Don’t change gear or flap except
—- - During liftoff and flaps up call for F1
Complete Recovery
- Check airspeed and adjust thrust as needed
- Establish pitch attitude (Happy place?)
- Return to desired flight path
- Re-engage autoplot and autothrottle if desired
Rejected Takeoff (Capt)
Without delay
- simultaneously close thrust levers, disengage A/T and max manual brakes or verify operation of RTO
- monitor system performance and apply manual brakes if AUTOBRAKES msg or deceleration not adequate
- Apply reverse thrust up to max, consistant with conditions
- Verify SB extended
- Continue max braking until stopping is assured
Once stopping assured
- start movement of reverse levers to reach reverse idle before taxi speed
- after engines are at reverse idle, move reverse thrust levers to full down
Rejected Takeoff (F/O)
Verify actions
- Thrust levers closed
- A/T disengaged
- Max brakes applied
- Reverse thrust applied
- call S/B up or not up
- reversers normal or no reverse appropriate eng
- Autobrakes
- Any omissions
- 60 kts
- Advise tower and cabin once stopped
