15
Q

Who is alerted for No. 1 and No. 2 altitude low indicator?

A

Only pilots for No. 1 and everybody for No. 2

15
Q

What does a dashed red line mean on the triple tach NR?

A

420 NR RPM maximum power

16
Q

When will the FADEC shut down an engine?

16
Q

Will both FADECs shut down their respective engine if they exceed the RPM limit? Also fuck you what’s that limit?

A

429 RPM limit, and no the FADEC will leave one engine operational

17
Q

Not really MFD related, but what is the reduction of RPM from Gas Generator to NR?

A

52,000 RPM at N1 to 39,000 RPM at N2, then further to 600 RPM at the output shaft, The finally to a maximum of 429 RPM at NR. This is all at 100% operation

18
What is solid yellow circle on TCAS?
TA. Intercepts aircraft track in 15-30 seconds. aural "TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC"
19
What is a solid blue diamond on TCAS?
PA. Traffic within 4NM and +-1200ft vertically. NOT generating a TA
20
What is a hollow blue diamond on TCAS?
Traffic within selected display range, but not triggering TA or PA
20
What is a yellow squiggle or a blue target sign on TCAS?
Intruder is climbing or descending at 500 ft/min
21
What is the number next to a traffic symbol on TCAS?
Altitude above or below aircraft in hundreds of feet.
22
What will trigger OEI operations?
-N1 below 40% -6% N1 split -Frozen fuel meter
22
What is OEI CT?
One engine inoperable continuous. Self explanatory
23
What is OEI LO?
One engine inoperable LO, meaning operation is limited to 5 periods of use, each lasting no longer than 2 minutes
24
What is OEI HI?
One engine inoperable HI, meaning operation in limited to 3 30 second excursions
25
What does the red diamond mean on OEI?
The red diamond is for OEI HI. For the first 25 seconds, it will display a red half diamond. After 25 seconds, it will flash for 5 seconds, then become solid at 30 seconds
26
What does the yellow diamond mean on OEI?
The yellow diamond is for OEI LO. For the first 115 seconds (1 minute 55 seconds) it will display a half filled yellow diamond. After 115 seconds, it will flash for 5 seconds, then become solid at 120 seconds (2 minutes)
27
Describe OEI CT.
Doesn't accrue OEI time or have a time limit. Actuated on aft button on pilot collective
28
What does TRNG switch do?
Simulates OEI on either engine.
29
When will PFD torque display switch to OEI GOV mode? What does that look like?
N1 on both engines is higher than 40% AND there is a difference of at 6% between N1 on both engines. No mode selector (white triangle), and HI, LO, and CT indicators will still be displayed
30
What does HIPSARM stand for?
Hover Increased Power Search And Rescue Mission
30
What is HIPSARM?
A power rating between max continuous and max takeoff power
30
How long may HIPSARM power be accessed?
30 minutes
30
What does a white half diamond mean, and where and when does it appear?
Means HIPSARM time as begun, happens after 5 minutes in HIPSARM conditions, and it's on the triple tach.
31
How long before the half filled white diamond begins flashing?
27 minutes and 30 seconds
32
When does the white diamond become solid?
When HIPSARM conditions have totaled 30 minutes.
32
What button increased selected range on NAV or PFD displays?
R8
32
What button overlays WXR data on the PFD and NAV display?
B4
33
What button decreases selected NAV range?
R9
34
There is a way to display TCAS overlay
But hell if I know where that is
35
What is BINGO?
Flight time available following the completion of your entire programmed flight plan and all attributes associated with each point in the flight plan
